The political power of images

The talk on Thursday, January 22, at 6:30 pm, is an opportunity to discuss the political role of photography, starting with the Lee Miller exhibition, which bears witness to crucial events of the 20th century, such as World War II, up to more current issues, such as the condition of women under the Iranian dictatorship.
Walter Guadagnini, curator of the Lee Miller exhibition, Marie Sumalla, photo editor of Le Monde, and Ahmad Halabisaz, an Iranian photographer in exile in France, protagonists of the exhibition You don’t die created to recount the riots in Iran immediately after the killing of Masha Amini, will discuss how photographic language is an important means of recounting and bearing witness to conflicts and social tensions.
