Presentation of VOLUME #4

Thursday at CAMERA | 17 September 2026, 6.30pm

Thursday, 17 September at 6.30 pm, CAMERA hosts the presentation of the fourth issue of VOLUME, the magazine by Chora Media andFeltrinelli, dedicated to the theme of miracles.

Inspired by the question What are miracles today?, the new issue reflects on the meaning this word can take on in the present, inviting readers to recognise the extraordinary within everyday life. Throughout its pages, the miracle emerges as hope, empathy, solidarity, wonder, irony and rebellion, while also finding expression through fairy tales, songs and poetry.

The issue opens with photographs by Martin Parr, whose image also appears on the cover, alongside Miraculous Matter, a new visual essay by artist Deka Mohamed Osman, who uses microscopy to reveal unexpected perspectives on ordinary elements of daily life. The visual narrative also includes Collettivo DAV’s reportage on the Tara River in Taranto, Stefano Schirato’s work documenting a story of hope and renewal, and Mario Spada’s photographs of southern Italy, exploring folklore and religious traditions.

The photographic contributions are accompanied by texts by Emmanuel Carrère, Antonella Lattanzi, Antonio Pascale, Christian Greco, Michele Masneri and many other authors, including François Hébel, together with an original playlist curated by Dente and verses by Lorenzo Jovanotti Cherubini celebrating the wonder of everyday life.

With the participation of
Mario Calabresi, editorial director of Chora Media
François Hébel, artistic director of CAMERA
Francesca Lavazza, board member of Lavazza Group
Deka Mohamed Osman, photographer and visual artist
