Studying in Turin / Studiare a Torino
Registration is open until 9 October 2026 | Participation is free!
What is your vision of Turin? Tell us about it through your own eyes!
A collaboration between OSA (Student* Observatory and Abitare), DIST – the Inter-University Department of Territorial Sciences, Planning and Policies at the Polytechnic University of Turin and the University of Turin – and CAMERA has given rise to a call for entries designed to recognise the perspectives of those who study and live in Turin. By taking part, you could be selected for the Urban School of Photography, a free course running from 4 to 7 November aimed at university students interested in exploring photography as a tool for understanding, interpreting and representing the city. The initiative forms part of the events organised for Urban Desires 2026.
The aim is to build a collective narrative of Turin as seen by those who pass through it every day to study, meet up, live and explore, gathering images and perspectives that capture the city’s transformations, the spaces we experience daily, and the complexity of contemporary urban life.
HOW TO APPLY
To apply, you must respond to the call for entries and submit a short text accompanied by a portfolio of 15 images that convey your vision of the city and everyday spaces: domestic settings, study spaces, social environments, virtual spaces or any context that is significant to your urban experience.
The call is open to students at Turin’s universities who are interested in photography, the visual arts, architecture, urban design and contemporary forms of representation.
