Beyond the Lens: Rebel Architecture. Talk with Francesca Perani
Thursday at CAMERA | 12 September 2024, 6.30 pm
On Thursday 12 September at 6.30 pm, CAMERA hosts Francesca Perani, architect-activist, graphic designer, illustrator and lecturer, for a new meeting dedicated to the exhibition Margaret Bourke-White. The Work 1930-1960.
Through dizzying shots of cities and metropolises, Margaret Bourke-White was the perfect interpreter of the architectural progress of her time, overcoming – in a predominantly male environment – barriers and gender stereotypes. This is also a central theme for the RebelArchitette project, a non-profit association created and co-founded by Francesca Perani, which has been working for a more equitable and inclusive architecture since 2017.
The talk will be an opportunity to explore the link between photography and architecture that can go beyond the subjects represented.
The meeting is realised in collaboration with Fondazione per l’Architettura di Torino and is part of Urban Frame’s programme of events.
With the participation of
Monica Poggi, curator of the exhibition
Francesca Perani, architect
The talk costs 3,00€
