Edward Weston. The revolution in photography

Thursdays at CAMERA | 12 February 2026, ore 6.30pm

To accompany the opening of the Edward Weston exhibition, CAMERA presents a conversation between curator Sérgio Mah and photography historian Walter Guadagnini. Thanks to their insightful commentary, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the world of the great American photographer, retracing all the stages of his intense research: from his early experiments marked by pictorialism to his full affirmation as a central figure in straight photography.

By exploring the reasons and anecdotes behind his most iconic shots, black-and-white images of extraordinary sharpness and richness of detail, the public will be able to delve into the evolution of his vision, discovering how crucial his technical rigor and forty years of research were in transforming photography into one of the fundamental languages of contemporary visual culture.

With the participation of:
Sérgio Mah, curator of the exhibition
Walter Guadagnini, curator and photography historian
