Letizia Battaglia. Always in search of life

On Thursday, 14 January at 6.30 pm, CAMERA hosts a conversation with Roberto Andò, film director, screenwriter, writer and artistic director, who directed the television miniseries Solo per passione – Letizia Battaglia fotografa, broadcast on Rai 1 in 2022. A close friend of the Sicilian photographer, Andò will be in conversation with Walter Guadagnini, curator of the exhibition, sharing memories, stories and personal reflections that offer an intimate and authentic portrait of Letizia Battaglia, her character and her lifelong commitment to social and civic issues.

The event offers a unique opportunity to explore the life and legacy of the photographer through the perspective of someone who knew her personally and helped bring her story to the screen. Weaving together personal experience, memory and storytelling, the conversation will allow audiences to gain a deeper understanding of one of the leading figures in contemporary Italian photography and of the extraordinary cultural and human legacy she left behind.
