Letti in CAMERA presents “01” by Irene Fenara
Letti in CAMERA | Tuesday 25 November 2025, 6.30pm
On Tuesday 25 November, at 6.30 pm, CAMERA’s Bookshop will host a discussion on mechanical gazes and how they influence our way of looking at the world, guided by the pages of “01”, a photography book by Irene Fenara published by Paint It Black, an independent bookshop and publishing house founded in Turin in 2022.
The young Italian photographer has always observed, explored and interpreted the way machines “see”, focusing on surveillance cameras and the images they produce: often blurred visions, altered by a series of technical errors such as an obstacle in front of the lens, poor resolution or sudden colour variation.
This experimental and fascinating research is presented in over 300 pages, including a selection of images from the Supervision and Self Portrait from Surveillance Camera series, as well as a text by Caterina Riva.
With the participation of:
Irene Fenara, photographer
Giulia Ninotta, coordinator of the Letti in CAMERA
Participation is free but reservations are recommended.
