Thursday at CAMERA | 30 May 2024, 6.30pm
On Thursday 30 May at 6.30 pm, CAMERA will host the presentation of the book South Sudan. The Identity of the World’s Youngest Country by Fabio Bucciarelli – photographer, journalist and author known for documenting important conflicts and global crises – in dialogue with Andrea Tinterri and Monica Poggi.
The book, published by Dario Cimorelli Editore, collects the photographs taken by Bucciarelli between 2012 and 2022 in South Sudan, one of the countries most affected by the major humanitarian crises in Africa. The scene of continuous civil wars, the world’s youngest country – its constitution dates back only to 2011 – has millions of displaced people and millions more Sudanese living as refugees in neighbouring countries.
With the participation of:
Fabio Bucciarelli, photographer
Monica Poggi, curator of CAMERA
Andrea Tinterri, curator and critic
The talk costs 3,00€
