Screening of “The Tiger’s Coat”
Thursday at CAMERA | 30 January 2025, 6.30pm
Before becoming a photographer, Tina Modotti acted successfully in theatre and in Hollywood silent films, distinguishing herself for her beauty but above all for the authentic humanity of her characters. A sensitivity that she would carry with her even when, from being the object of her gaze, she herself became an observer of the world through the camera.
On Thursday 30 January, CAMERA invites the public to discover a unique testimony of her career as an actress with the screening of The Tiger’s Coat (United States, 1920, 55′), directed by Roy Clements, the only one of her films that has been preserved to date.
The screening will be accompanied by live music performed by jazz pianist Bruno Cesselli.
The talk costs 3,00€
