Letizia Battaglia at Tours

CAMERA is pleased to announce the partnership with Jeu de Paume for the production of the exhibition Letizia Battaglia, curated by Walter Guadagnini and inaugurated with great success and great attention also by the French press last week in Tours (France), where it will remain open to the public until 18 May 2025.

After the first stage in Tours, the exhibition will be presented in Arles on the occasion of Les Rencontres d’Arles (7 July – 5 October 2025) and will then land in 2026 in Turin in the spaces of CAMERA.

The project – co-produced by CAMERA and Jeu de Paume in collaboration with the Archivio Letizia Battaglia – reveals the photographer’s extraordinary career, from her debut in Milan in the 1970s to her death in 2022 in Palermo.
Through a selection of over 200 prints including vintage and modern prints, the exhibition highlights Letizia Battaglia’s incredible ability to portray the world with a passion, revealing all its aspects, from the most frightening to the most poetic.
