Davide Tranchina
Project Room | 15 October 2026 – 7 February 2027
Davide Tranchina‘s exhibition is structured as a journey through the last twenty years of research by the artist, who was born in Bologna in 1970 and has now reached full expressive maturity, as demonstrated by his recent participation in the Rome Quadriennale, which was met with widespread critical acclaim.
Belonging to a generation of artists who grew up on the border between analog and digital and particularly involved in issues relating to the ambiguity of the photographic image, its construction, and its relationship with reality, Tranchina has chosen to revisit some of the fundamental stages of his career for this exhibition: a reflection on his own past—and that of the medium—which concludes with a completely new work, conceived and created specifically for CAMERA’s Project Room.
The exhibition is curated by Walter Guadagnini, who has been following Tranchina’s work for years and also collaborates with him at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, where they both teach on the specialized Biennial Photography course.
