Letizia Battaglia at Forlì
Museo Civico San Domenico | 18 October 2025 – 11 January 2026
A story told through over 200 photographs depicting her private life and professional and civic commitment: from 18 October 2025 to 11 January 2026, the great Sicilian photographer Letizia Battaglia arrives at the Museo Civico San Domenico in Forlì with an exhibition presented for the first time in Italy, created and produced by CAMERA, the Jeu de Paume in Paris, and with the collaboration of the Letizia Battaglia Archive.
Letizia Battaglia. Work: 1970-2020, curated by Walter Guadagnini, explores the entire creative career of Letizia Battaglia (1935-2022) through photographs, books, newspapers and magazines from her archive, bearing witness to the variety of her interests and the continuity of her civil commitment.
Presented in 2024 at the Jeu de Paume in Tours and at the Rencontres d’Arles international festival in 2025, the project has been updated and enriched for the Forlì stage to include 210 photographs (some unpublished), 22 magazines with which she collaborated and, in some cases, was also the founder and editor, as well as a documentary film about her life.
