Margaret Bourke-White at Reggio Emilia

After its stop in Turin in 2024, the exhibition produced by CAMERA, Margaret Bourke-White. Works 1930-1960, will be on display from 25 October 2025 to 8 February 2026 in the halls of the Chiostri di San Pietro in Reggio Emilia.

Through more than 150 photographs of extraordinary power, the exhibition recounts the profound transformations of the modern world and offers a vivid portrait of one of the most emblematic figures of 20th-century photography. Curated by Monica Poggi, this fascinating journey retraces the work, life and human experience of Margaret Bourke-White, a tireless witness of her time and a pioneer capable of overcoming barriers and gender boundaries.

During the exhibition period, a programme of public meetings with leading specialists in the field will explore the so-called “American Century”, a combination of historical, cultural, ideological, economic and sociological characteristics that have marked the past century and still have a profound impact on the culture and events of the present.
