Garesio Wine Prize for Documentary Photography
A new prize for contemporary photography, during EXPOSED Torino Foto Festival
CAMERA and Garesio Vini are pleased to announce a new prize dedicated to the promotion of young talents in contemporary photography, realised within the framework of EXPOSED Torino Foto Festival.
A jury – made up of the artistic director of EXPOSED, Menno Liauw, the artistic director of CAMERA, Walter Guadagnini, and the owner of Garesio, Giovanna Garesio – will select one of the 2024 talents of the European platform FUTURES Photography, of which CAMERA is the only representative in Italy, offering a further opportunity to highlight the most innovative experiences of the European photographic scene. The theme of the Prize is the relationship between landscape and innovation, in an ideal bridge created between the title of the Festival, New Landscapes, and Garesio’s experience, which has always been able to combine respect for tradition and a view of the future.
The winning artist will receive a cash prize and will take part in a residency at the Garesio winery in Serralunga d’Alba to realise a photographic project that will be presented at CAMERA during the 2025 edition of EXPOSED.
