Talk | Thursday 19 November 2026, 6.30pm

On Thursday, 19 November at 6.30 pm, CAMERA hosts the first public programme event accompanying the exhibition Letizia Battaglia. Works 1970–2020, offering an opportunity to gain deeper insight into the life, vision, and commitment of one of the most influential figures in Italian photography.

The guest speaker will be Marta Sollima, granddaughter of the photographer and Vice President of the Letizia Battaglia Archive, who will be in conversation with Walter Guadagnini, curator of the exhibition, sharing memories, testimonies, and reflections on an artist whose work captured the spirit of her time through a free, rigorous, and profoundly human perspective.

Through an intimate and authentic conversation, audiences will have the opportunity to explore Letizia Battaglia’s personal and artistic journey, retracing her photographic and civic legacy while learning more about the work of the Archive that preserves and promotes her oeuvre today. An event designed to bring visitors closer to the world of a photographer who left an indelible mark on contemporary Italian culture and whose vision continues to inspire and challenge audiences today.
